société a été fondée en 1878 par Charles Leymarie, originaire de Corrèze, dans
le centre de la France. En 1920, il étendit son activité à la Belgique en créant
Leymarie S.A. et acquit sa première parcelle de vigne en 1933 dans la partie supérieure
du Clos de Vougeot en Bourgogne. Depuis, nous avons poursuivi son effort tant dans le
développement de la société de négoce que l’exploitation de vignobles en
Bourgogne, à Pomerol et à Saint-Emilion

The Company
was founded in 1878 by Charles Leymarie, native from the Corrèze, a region in the center
of France. In 1920, he increased his business and set up a subsidiary in Belgium :
Leymarie S.A. and bought his first vineyard plot in 1933 in the upper part of the Clos de
Vougeot, the finest Grand Cru in Burgundy. Since, we kept on his efforts in developping
the wine merchant company as well as managing vineyards in Burgundy, in Pomerol and
Saint-Emilion.
